Security Guard Job in York, Ontario

We are looking to hire two experienced and reliable Security Guards for a one-time private event happening from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM on either June 27 or 28, 2025 (final date and location to be confirmed). Job Summary This is a high-energy private party, and we are seeking professional security personnel who can ensure a safe, controlled, and respectful environment for all guests. The ideal candidates will have previous experience in event security, possess the necessary tools (such as metal detectors), and be confident in conducting body pat-downs when necessary. You must be assertive, able to handle challenging situations without hesitation, and committed to keeping order—no tolerance for disrespect or trouble. Responsibilities Monitor the event space and entry/exit points throughout the night Conduct metal detection scans and pat-downs at the door Enforce guest list and re-entry policies Address disruptive behavior or safety concerns swiftly and professionally Work in coordination with event organizers to handle emergencies if needed Requirements Proven experience in event or nightclub security Must bring your own tools (e.g., handheld metal detectors, flashlights, radios if available) Physically capable of standing and patrolling for several hours Strong, no-nonsense presence with excellent conflict-resolution skills Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow clear instructions Pay: Competitive one-time rate (negotiable based on experience and equipment provided) If you're serious about security, know how to take control of a situation, and have the experience to back it up, we want to hear from you.
