Security Guard Job in San Jose, California

Hi I’m Derek, A representative of Onward search recruiting agency. We are currently seeking to recruit highly motivated and reliable Security Guards to secure our clients and their residences. As a security guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of their premises, employees, and assets. Your strong observation skills, excellent judgment, and quick response to potential threats will be essential in ensuring a safe environment for all. Responsibilities: - Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. - Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other individuals to maintain the security of the premises. - Monitor and operate security systems, such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control devices. - Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances. - Write detailed incident reports and maintain proper documentation of security-related activities. - Provide excellent customer service by guiding and assisting employees and visitors as needed. - Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and emergency medical services during emergencies or incidents. - Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security breaches or hazards and take appropriate action to mitigate risks. - Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and discipline. - Stay updated on all security-related training and certifications. Requirements: - Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position. - High school diploma/GED required. - Must be at least 21 years old. - Valid state security guard license and/or certifications (if applicable). - Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures. - Strong observational and analytical skills. - Ability to remain calm and act swiftly in emergency situations. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods. - Basic computer skills and familiarity with security-related software and systems. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. -Must have legal authorization to work in USA We offer competitive pay starting at $44.0 hourly, ongoing training opportunities, and a positive work environment.
