After 25 years of service and retiring as a Sergeant, I had the opportunity to work as a patrol Officer in the New York City Subway System in various capacities such as patrol Officer, Summons team Officer, anti-crime and even had the honor to serve as a back up advance uniform officer for the former Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, when he traveled in the subway system. In 2002, I was transferred to the Police Academy and was assigned as an Instructor, teaching in the topics of Law, Police Science, Behavioral Science, Crisis Intervention and participated as a Field Training Officer. On my off time, I became a Lost Prevention Officer in the retail Industry. Some of my responsibilities consisted of revenue escorts, overseeing store deliveries, enforcing store procedural policies, initiated investigations involving customer and employee theft. Four years later, I was promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to patrol within the confines of the 067 precinct, East Flatbush Brooklyn. Two years later, I was transferred to the Police Academy's Operations Section in which I later became the Executive Officer to. My responsibilities included determining graduation eligibility. Processed all resignations while collaborating with Human Resources. Attended Executive staff meetings and kept the chief staff informed of all incidents or investigations occurring throughout the facility and Training Bureau. Throughout my career, I continued my education and received my Bachelor of Science in Security Management in 2013 and attended and completed the Specialized Protective Security Training Course hosted by the NYPD Intelligence Division in 2009. I am presently licensed as a NYS Armed Guard, NYS Certified General Topics Instructor and a Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act card holder. (H.R. 218 Act) Throughout my career, I have maintained a high standard and a positive work ethic. I successfully completed all assigned tasks and took on additional responsibilities that helped develop and mainstream new policies, all while working in a high-paced environment. I am an extremely motivated individual with exceptional organizational skills and managerial experience.
