Security Guard in Sudbury, Ontario

Hello, I possess a Child and Youth Work diploma and experience working in a youth custody facility in Northern Ontario where my job required me to work intensively with youth in conflict with the law by setting attainable goals, providing youth with coping mechanisms, structure and discipline. Following my employment at Pineger Youth Centre (PYC), I obtained my security guard license and became a security guard at Detour Gold remote mine site. During my employment at Detour, I obtained my certificate as a Certified Protection Officer and enhanced my skills by ensuring the safety and security of all mine personnel. I applied my knowledge and training/experience when attending emergencies onsite and providing information to the control room as to what happened, who is involved, the location of the emergency, nature of emergency, who attended the scene, and to complete and provide incidents reports, conduct investigations and collect statements of the appropriate party involved. Both work experience have given me a sense of pride in helping others while maintaining safety and security at all times. My communication, oral and written, skills have enhance tremendously. I am eager to learn new things and I am capable to adapt to new environments. I work well individually as well as part of a team. I am bilingual, punctual and flexible, self-motivated, quick learner and have a good sense of leadership.
